Socceroos inch up the rankings

The Socceroos have climbed four places to 59 in the latest FIFA world rankings but remain the lowest ranked team heading into the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Europe now occupies the top three rankings after Portugal moved into third behind leaders Spain and Germany.

A block of four South American teams follow. Colombia at No. 4 are up one spot, and Uruguay, also up one, move into fifth. Sharing sixth spot are arch rivals Argentina (down three) and Brazil (up three).

Rounding out the top 10 are Switzerland, Italy and Greece. Scotland, now sitting at 22 are the biggest mover, up 15 spots.
