Aussies Abroad weekend wrap

A quiet weekend for the Aussies as many enjoyed a well-earned summer break and others linked up with the Socceroos and Matildas ahead of the World Cup and for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup. But across Europe, Asia and the US there was still club action with Ryan Griffiths, Dylan Macallister and Kristy Moore all finding the back of the net.

In the FA Women’s Super League 1 in England Caitlin Friend played 66 minutes when Notts County LFC had a scoreless draw at Chelsea LFC.

In the Bayernliga Nord in Germany Jonathan Faerber was an unused substitute in FSV Erlangen-Bruck’s 2-1 loss at FC Amberg.

Max Haubus played a full match in the Rheinlandliga when TuS Koblenz II won 2-0 at SG Luxem/Wittlich.

In the Italian Serie B Carl Valeri was not in the squad when Ternana Calcio lost 2-1 at home against US Palermo.

In the Danish 2. Division Ost Dario Al Saad was not in the squad in Svebolle BI’s 2-1 win at Fremad Amager.

In Toppserien in Norway Eliza Campbell played a full match when Medkila IL drew 2-2 with IK Grand Bodo.

In the Irish Premier Division Mark Griffin came on after 88 minutes when Dundalk won 3-0 against Sligo Rovers and remains on top of the ladder.

In Iceland’s 2. Deild Karla Kile Kennedy played a full match in KF Fjardabyggd’s 3-2 win against Dalvik/Reynir.

Meanwhile in the Chinese Super League Jonas Salley played a full match in Guizhou Renhe’s scoreless draw at Shandong Luneng. Daniel McBreen played a full match when Shanghai Dongya lost 1-0 at Jiangsu Guoxin. Billy Celeski was not in the squad in Liaoning Hongyun’s scoreless draw with Dalian Aerbin and Adam Hughes was also absent from the matchday squad when Harbin Yiteng lost 2-0 at home against Guangzhou Fuli.

In the V.League 1 in Vietnam Sam Gallagher was not in the squad in Ha Noi T&T’s 2-0 win against Dong Nai Berjaya.

In the Malaysian Super League Ryan Griffiths played a full match and scored Sarawak FA’s goal when they went down 4-1 at Perak FA. Steven Pantelidis played a full match when Mehmet Durakovic’s Selangor FA lost 1-0 against Darul Takzim. Mario Karlovic came on in the fifth minute of stoppage time in Terengganu FA’s 4-1 win at Pahang FA and Goran Subara played a full match when T-Team FC won 1-0 against Kelantan FA. Spase Dilevski was not in the squad in ATM FA’s 2-1 loss at Singapore Lions XII.

In the Malaysian Premier League Ndumba Makeche played 65 minutes and provided an assist in Felda United’s 5-3 win against SPA FC. Adam Griffiths was in the starting eleven when Kedah FA won 2-1 at Negeri Sembilan FA. Srecko Mitrovic was not in the squad in Sabah FA’s 3-1 loss against UiTM FC.

In the Indonesia Super League Michael Baird was sent off after 79 minutes when PSM Makassar won 2-1 against Perseru Serui.

In the AFC Cup play-off semi-final of the First Division League in Hong Kong Marko Jesic came on after 78 minutes when Sun Pegasus lost 3-1 after extra-time against South China AA for whom Andy Barisic was missing due to yellow cards suspension. Dylan Macallister came on after 70 minutes and scored 15 minutes later in Eastern Salon’s 3-2 win over Royal Southern.

In the C-League in Cambodia Adriano Pellegrino was in the starting eleven when Phnom Penh Crown won 2-1 against National Defense.

Over in the W-League in the United States Chloe Logarzo played 75 minutes, Tara Andrews played 52 minutes and Ashley Spina came on after 78 minutes when Daniel Clitnovici’s Colorado Pride won 1-0 against Colorado Storm. Kristy Moore played 87 minutes and scored the first goal after 66 minutes in Ottawa Fury’s 2-0 win against Quebec Dynamo.

In the Major League Soccer Andy Rose was an unused substitute when Seattle Sounders drew 2-2 with Vancouver Whitecaps.

In the USL Pro Harrison Delbridge played a full match in Sacramento Republic’s 1-0 win against Rochester Rhinos.
